Gaze Into the Galaxy – Priyank & Resham’s Engagement at NSCI Dome

There are some projects that remind me why I love what I do. Planning and curating Priyank Kothari and Resham Mewani’s engagement was one such experience. Held on 2nd April 2025 at the NSCI Dome in Worli, Mumbai, this event allowed us to blend vision, creativity, and detailed execution into something truly special.

The theme—Gaze Into the Galaxy—was born in a conversation between Hemant Kale and myself. From the moment we started moodboarding, we knew we had something unique in the making. The concept was bold, yet elegant. Once we presented the design to the couple, they instantly connected with it. That’s when we knew we were on the right path.

As a team at Swaaha Weddings & Experiences, we follow a structured process—from moodboarding to design to execution. This engagement was no different. We moved into production with clarity, excitement, and a strong plan.

Working in the NSCI Dome, one of Mumbai’s most versatile venues, gave us the opportunity to dream big. The infrastructure supported our vision beautifully—especially when it came to rigging hanging installations, lighting setups, and ensuring all safety protocols were followed.

The goal was to create an immersive environment. From the moment guests walked in, we wanted them to feel as though they were stepping into a galaxy. Every detail—from the lighting synced to the music, to star-like projections and constellation-inspired seating—was curated to reflect the theme. The stage was designed to be the heart of this universe, with Priyank and Resham at the center of it all.:

Events are not just about how they look—they are about how they feel. So, we made sure to layer the celebration with carefully selected entertainment, thoughtful transitions, and a smooth flow that made the entire evening feel effortless.

Challenging projects like this are always fulfilling. Time was tight, and every element had to be produced and installed with precision. But that’s where teamwork shines. Hemant and I went over every detail multiple times, visualizing the event from every angle. It’s this constant collaboration that brings our best work forward.
